  1. Version 0.12.3
    BUILD 42 · 26 AUGUST 2026
    Download55.0 MB
    RELEASE NOTES

    What's new in 0.12.3

    • Long meetings no longer lose most of their transcript: a name-matching step could send the transcriber into a repetition loop that silently dropped everything after the first few minutes, and it has been removed.
    • A meeting that was already confirmed can now be transcribed again, so a bad reading can be replaced as long as the recording is still on disk.
    • Re-transcribing clears the old draft, summary, published notes, search entries and extracted todos, facts and topic entries first, then returns the meeting to Reviewing with its audio, timestamps and identity intact.
    • Your own notes and chat history on a meeting are kept when it is re-transcribed.
    • Re-transcription is refused with a clear reason when the meeting's audio was not retained or another job on it is still running.
  2. Version 0.12.2
    BUILD 41 · 25 AUGUST 2026
    Download55.0 MB
    RELEASE NOTES

    What's new in 0.12.2

    • Long chat threads no longer freeze the app: the transcript's scroll pin was re-measuring itself in a loop, which could hang the window for minutes once a conversation grew.
    • The Assistant rail now has Sessions, Runs, and All filters, so your own sessions stay readable instead of being buried under routine runs.
    • Asking the assistant to write something to the Library now actually puts it there, instead of reporting success while the shelf stayed empty.
    • Unattended routine runs that had nothing to do now leave nothing behind: no run record, no Today card, no diary entry, and no empty write-up.
    • Event-triggered routines can carry a precise matching rule, so a routine only starts when the meeting genuinely matches instead of firing first and then declining.

    RELEASE NOTES

    What's new in 0.12.1

    • Playing back a freshly transcribed meeting now works right away: the play button and the guided queue's snippet buttons arm as soon as the recording is ready, instead of staying dead until you leave the meeting and come back.
    • Auto-start and Remind now skip calendar events you hold alone, so focus time and other solo blocks no longer trigger a recording of nobody talking or send a reminder.
    • Today's "up next" card no longer promises auto-capture for a solo block and offers manual arming instead.
  4. Version 0.12.0
    BUILD 39 · 19 AUGUST 2026
    Download54.9 MB
    RELEASE NOTES

    What's new in 0.12.0

    • Topic health cards now say why a topic is at risk and what to do about it, with up to three suggested moves that link back to the moment in a meeting they came from.
    • The app moves to six tabs: Notes and Workflows lose their own tabs, Chat becomes Assistant, and Library gathers Meetings, Notes, and Artifacts as three shelves.
    • Artifacts are a new kind of item: written documents produced by a routine run, kept as markdown files in your workspace, with a page showing where each one came from and buttons to open it or show it in Finder.
    • Workflows are now called Routines, and they live in the Assistant rail instead of a tab of their own.
    • The Assistant opens in its own window with Cmd-Shift-A, sharing sessions, routines, Soul, Diary, and Skills with the tab so work started in one appears in the other.
    • Routines are authored by asking for them in a session, and the app now confirms before turning an event-triggered request into a routine, with a "Just answer once" button for when you only wanted the answer.
    • The Dreams page folds into the Dream routine, where its settings, kept themes, and run history now sit together, each theme showing what the journal read to produce it.
    • A briefing run on Today now opens the meeting it prepared, and routine reports link straight to the artifact they wrote.
  5. Version 0.11.1
    BUILD 38 · 17 AUGUST 2026

    RELEASE NOTES

    What's new in 0.11.1

    • The curated local model catalog adds Qwen 3.8 27B for Macs with 48 GB or more of memory, in both the standard and Apple silicon builds, alongside Qwen3 14B at 32 GB and Qwen3 8B as the default.
    • The bundled Ollama runtime moves to a newer version so it can serve the added model.
    • The recommended local model for a given amount of memory is now picked consistently when several models share the same memory tier.

  7. Version 0.9.9
    BUILD 35 · 11 AUGUST 2026
    Download53.8 MB
    RELEASE NOTES

    What's new in 0.9.9

    • Notes on a completed meeting now sit as the first section of the "Out of this meeting" rail, next to todos and participants, instead of hiding behind a toolbar button and squeezing the summary into a strip.
    • Meeting summaries now recognize your own notes as yours and point out where they shaped the result, rather than treating them as another speaker turn in the transcript.
    • Confirming a meeting now processes its notes pad too, so notes get cleaned text, a tag, and links to the people they mention.
    • The chat composer no longer crashes the app on Shift-Return or when pasting a multi-line block.
  8. Version 0.9.8
    BUILD 34 · 11 AUGUST 2026
    Download53.8 MB
    RELEASE NOTES

    What's new in 0.9.8

    • Speaker review now follows the guided queue through the transcript, so the focused speaker's turns are the ones on screen and the filter moves along as you work through the queue.
    • A "Follow queue" checkbox turns that behavior off, and closing the filter bar by hand turns it off too, with the choice remembered for future reviews.
    • The audition snippet now picks the speaker's longest spoken turn instead of the longest audio span, so short filler lines no longer stand in for the passage that actually identifies a voice.
    • Speaker labels in the focused card and the resolved list read "Speaker 10" instead of "S10", matching the chips shown in the transcript.
  9. Version 0.9.6
    BUILD 32 · 6 AUGUST 2026
    Download53.1 MB
    RELEASE NOTES

    What's new in 0.9.6

    • Topics triage now shows each HEARD line as a receipt with speaker, meeting, and moment, plus a WHY NOW line explaining what put the case in front of you today, and its links jump straight to the cited point in the recording.
    • A new triage queue at the top of the People rail works through every pending person fact in one place instead of one profile at a time, with confirm, not true, and skip on the keyboard.
    • Confirming a person fact in a meeting or thread rail keeps it on that page as a settled row, so the meeting that produced the fact no longer looks empty afterwards.
    • Todos whose owner is not yet known now read as one clear placeholder name everywhere, on the board, in the inspector, in briefings, and on the phone, instead of showing an internal identifier.
    • Typing in the Todos search field no longer triggers single-key shortcuts, so a query containing n, i, w, x, or a digit stops filing or deciding todos behind your back.
    • Health filters and the filter field in the Topics rail now take you to the filtered board instead of applying invisibly behind the triage surface.
    • The Topics and People tabs now light up when proposals or person facts are waiting, without needing you to open the surface first.
    • The owner picker in Todos triage gains hover and keyboard selection, a clear button, and a pinned "Someone, resolve later" row.
  10. Version 0.9.5
    BUILD 31 · 3 AUGUST 2026
    Download53.0 MB
    RELEASE NOTES

    What's new in 0.9.5

    • Triage owner picker: typing a name into the search field no longer triggers keyboard shortcuts behind the popover, so you can search for a person without setting off unrelated actions.
    • "Someone owes me" now files the item directly with the person already detected from the meeting, and only asks you to pick an owner when nobody could be identified.
    • Release notes in the update dialog and on the download page are now written for users instead of being a raw list of commit subjects.

    • <Summarize changes that users can observe.>

    Install requirements

    • Requires macOS 14 or newer.
    • Download both files from this GitHub Release:
      • horch-0.3.0-1-macos.dmg

    • Local launch does not require a remote account. Recording, review, local storage, and local setup surfaces remain local-first.

    Artifact verification

From the directory containing the downloaded DMG and checksum file, run:

    shasum -a 256 -c horch-0.3.0-1-macos.dmg.sha256

    Expected result:

    horch-0.3.0-1-macos.dmg: OK

Do not install the artifact if checksum verification fails, the checksum file references a different DMG name, or the checksum file references a local build path.

    Known issues

    • <List known limitations, or write "None currently known." after verification.>

    Rollback guidance

    • Keep the release as a draft until validation and maintainer approval pass.
    • If install/launch smoke validation fails before publication, keep or delete the draft and leave the previous published release as current.
    • If a published release must be pulled, follow docs/release/macos-release-rollback.md before changing public artifacts.
    • Prefer publishing a fixed patch/build release over replacing assets on a published release.
    • Do not execute destructive rollback commands without explicit maintainer confirmation.
