One payment buys a perpetual license. It includes 1 year of updates from the day you buy. When that year is over, horch keeps working. Forever. At the newest version released inside it.

€25/year, optional renewal

A renewal extends the update window by another year, and does nothing else. It is never required: skip it and the app runs exactly as before, it just stops receiving new versions.

2 Macs per license

One license activates up to 2 Macs at the same time. Deactivate a Mac in the app to free the seat for another one.

Already have a license? Renew your update window

€25 extends your update window by 1 year from the day it currently ends, so renewing early loses nothing. It is optional: without it horch keeps working exactly as it does now, it just stops receiving new versions.

Your license id

Your license id starts with lic_ and is in horch under Settings, then License, and in the email that carried your key. Cannot find it? Email [email protected] and we will look it up.

What a license gives you

A horch license is perpetual. You may run every version of horch released inside your update window for as long as you like, on up to 2 Macs. There is no server that can switch the app off: recordings, transcripts, summaries, and notes are files on your own Mac, and they stay readable whatever happens to your license.

The update window is 1 year from purchase. After it lapses, horch does not expire, degrade, or nag: it simply stops installing versions released after the window ended. Renewing for €25 a year moves that line forward. That is the only thing a renewal does.

The download is the full app in a 30-day trial: every feature, no account, no credit card, no email address required. When the trial ends the app locks until a license key is entered. Your files remain on disk as plain Markdown either way.

Who you buy from

Checkout is handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our merchant of record. Paddle is the seller of record for the transaction: it takes the payment, applies and remits the VAT or sales tax for your country, and issues your invoice. Prices are shown in euro; taxes are calculated at checkout. horch never sees or stores your card details.
